On a chilly October morning I spoke with a local homeowner who said he had been following me for years and was now planning on selling his home.

The problem was he did not have another home in the state they were moving to yet.

“Debra, I’ve watched you through these years and I know that you sell houses so quickly. The problem is I don’t have a new home yet. I’m relocating out of state and I’d rather not leave New Jersey until I find one.”

“Understood! Obviously, I can’t guarantee that someone will wait indefinitely but negotiating on your behalf is one of the most important things that I do for our clients”.

Fast forward to January 21, 2025 . Our seller left New Jersey yesterday on a snowy and blustery winter day after having only been on the market for 10 days in the fall- going under contract on October 19th but most importantly to them and what really mattered was they were able to stay in their home until January 21st when the timing was right for their move.

There’s so much that goes on behind the scenes to help our clients. Everyone’s needs are different- often times money is the most important factor but so is timing and sometimes it’s convenience and their level of comfort on how their house is accessed to the public.

There’s an endless list of things that are important to homeowners when they move.
